They design, develop, and manufacture network security and data protection solutions. The company offers both appliance-based, as well as value added subscription services.Their goal is to provide deep protection, while still providing excellent network performance. The company is a recognized global leader in the small and medium business markets and its solutions are deployed in distributed enterprise environments, government, retail point of sale and health care segments, as well as through service providers. In the role of a financial accountant for this company, you'd be asked to: · Maintain, update, and track all Special Pricing Requests to insure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the requests. · Provide and log all Rebate Authorization Codes for customer credit request verification. · Validate and process all discount/rebate claims for credits/payments. · Maintain and update Sales Discounts/Rebates worksheet for monthly close purposes. · Interface with Sales to resolve claim discrepancies and to insure accrual adequacy. · Track Product Royalty accrual and process related payments. · Prepare month end reconciliations for Contra Revenue accounts. · Prepare and upload monthly close Journal Entries (i.e. manual invoice entry, royalty expense booking, etc.). · Maintain and upload the monthly close documents (i.e close schedule, JE binder, reconciliation list, etc.). · Process and update Oracle with new part number (SKU) requests. · Update the Gross Margin calculation templates. · Assists with special projects as required. Requirements: · BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or equivalent with 3 - 5 years experience in Accounting, preferably in the Revenue or General Ledger areas. · Familiarity with multi-level Sales Channel and multi-tier discount structure. · Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Excel a must, familiar with Access preferred. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Oracle Financial system (11i) knowledge preferred. · Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to resolve issues. · Demonstrated team work and ability to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
