This position requires experience involving design and implementation of WinRunner test cases for thorough regression testing. This position requires object oriented programming knowledge along with experience in Mercury Interactive’s test tools such as WinRunner and TestDirector. To create these automated test cases, familiarity with requirements documents, test management tools, and good verbal and writing skills are required. The position requires, good analytical skills to extract test conditions from requirements documents and write automated test cases. Required Qualifications: -BA/BS degree - Computer Science/related discipline. Six additional years of applicable progressive experience may be substituted for degree. - Knowledge of software development life cycle processes and documents. - Writing and executing test plans and test cases. - Familiarity with methodologies used in creating test plans. - Familiarity with software testing in a web environment. - Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming. - Knowledge of Automated test tools for regression testing. - Knowledge of test management tools for test management. - Familiarity with defect reporting tools and defect tracking procedures. - Familiarity with storage and retrieval of data from commercial databases. Desired Qualifications: - MA/MS degree - Experience with Mercury Interactive’s WinRunner test automation tool. - Experience with Mercury Interactive’s TestDirector test management tool. - Familiarity with interfaces of web applications with legacy mainframe systems. - Application development familiarity Skill requirements must include some or all of the following: 1. Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases. 2. Experience in Mercury Interactive’s WinRunner test automation tool. 3. Experience in Object oriented programming in order to write code in WinRunner 4. Demonstrated ability to extract test conditions from requirements documents and write well documented test cases. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following: · Read and understand requirements documents to extract test conditions from them and write WinRunner test cases. · Write WinRunner scripts for regression testing. · Work with Requirements Analysts to clarify/correct requirements documents. · Identify and documents product defects. · Work with Developers to resolve product defects.
