Duties and Responsibilities: • Interfaces with both the Architect and e-business director to manage project metrics, scalability and expectations. • Designs, implements and executes test plans. • Automates testing process via tools and procedures • Administers Defect Tracking System (DTS), provides necessary reports and ensures issues are resolved prior to produce release. • Manages software version configurations. • Provides team with metrics related to product quality, schedule and risk. • Performs related business duties as assigned. Requirements: Four-year technical degree or equivalent. • 1-2 years practical experience working with a formal software, and/or system, test methodology. Experience in executing string, performance and regression testing. • 3-7 years of IT experience. • Experience in client-server and web test tools and Case Management tools • Demonstrated knowledge of web and object-oriented development languages. • Strong attention to detail required. • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Preferred Certifications: Certified Test Engineer MUST HAVES: ( Use this to qualify) 1. Strong Manual Testing. (automated is just a plus). 2. Strong methodology ( whether it be QA methodology, App Development Methodology or SDLC) 3. Web, Client Server, or MF testing. Can’t just be Systems testing. 4. Need to have solid SQL skill to pull data from back end. 5. Strong testing of both front and back end. 6. Scripting experience. 7. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously ( test 2-3 apps at once ). 8. This person will be responsible for the entire life cycle of testing an application. They need to be able to do this with little or no supervision. Need to know where they have done this before. 9. Development background is a plus. Their main system is a bit antiquated and you need to test Manually off of it. You need to be able to: • Find out the data • Set up the data in the system • Run the program • Monitor the program • Identify errors • Then manually go record by record to fix.
