The Software Testing Specialist will be responsible for the functional testing of highly scalable client/server applications for Blackberry Infrastructure system. The successful candidate must have strong testing and troubleshooting abilities coupled with a strong desire to learn new technology in an ever changing environment. He/she will work closely with multiple teams in the development organization to understand the scope of new features, develop test plans for those features, and then execute test scripts within pre-defined schedules using rapid development and software testing methodologies.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering Degree or related Experience
• 3+ years software testing experience in a product development environment
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and Oracle Database
• Experience in a large, distributed networking system (TCP/IP) software application testing
• Experience in designing, executing and analyzing Functional, Load & Stress test cases
• Understanding of test processes and methodologies
• Knowledge and experience in analyzing performance test results and trending analysis is strongly desired
• Solid bug tracking and test reporting skills
• Excellent analytical and problem determination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
