They also currently have 5 NICU beds but they will be building a new addition to be completed by mid year next year bringing the NICU to 14 beds and also expanding their L&D suites. Job Description: Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse with global responsibility for the quality and continuity of patient care for specific age groups identified by the standards of care. The Nurse Manager: • Provides leadership in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clinical unit. • Participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process. • Directs and evaluates all personnel according to hospital, nursing and unit philosophy and objectives. • Is a role model and resource person guiding staff in the development of skills and capabilities. • Develops unit activities that support the elements of extending excellence. • Adheres to the Florida Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Minimum of 3-5 years management experience in L&D with combination of NICU experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years L&D clinical bedside experience required. BSN required, MSN preferred.
